3mm Extended InGaAs Photodiodes bare die – ISRAEL
A 3 mm Extended InGaAs photodiode (bare die) is a light-detecting semiconductor device made from indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) that is sensitive to infrared wavelengths. The “extended” part means it can detect a wider range of wavelengths, specifically from about 900 nm to 2200 nm, covering near-infrared to short-wave infrared light. The “3 mm active area” refers to the size of the light-sensitive region, which is relatively large and allows more light to be captured. “Bare die” means the photodiode is supplied without protective packaging, so it must be mounted and handled carefully in a custom setup. These devices convert incoming infrared light into an electrical current, making them useful for sensing and measurement applications. They are commonly used in spectroscopy, optical communication, and infrared imaging systems.
