Our\u00a0X-Ray Glass is a high quality glass with more than 50 percent heavy metal oxide and including at least 50 percent PbO for optimum performance. We offer leaded glass which provides excellent clarity while shielding x-ray radiation of equipment in the 100 to 300 kV range. We supply high quality lead glass with high standards of safety regulations in the medical, scientific and nuclear fields worldwide. Our lead glass can reach maximum size of 2400mm x 1200mm.<\/p>\n

X-ray Lead glass is commonly used in radiation therapy rooms, x-ray rooms, operating theatres, veterinary clinics, dental clinics, laboratories and materials testing. There are different applications such as door glazing, panoramic glazing, mobile shielding protection, observation viewing windows and intercommunication windows, mammography work station, protection panels for check-up systems or as lenses for safety goggles.<\/p>\n

This lead glass has been installed in many hospitals around the world and has passed\u00a0strict\u00a0tests of Radiation Control Department of the Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n

NOTE: The thickness of the x-ray lead glass is not same as lead equivalent thickness. Lead equivalent thickness defines the protective effect of the glass compared to a 100% lead sheet.<\/p>\n

For example;\u00a0Lead glass with 2mmPb lead equivalent thickness, and 10mm measured thickness of the glass, creates same protective effect as a 2 mm thick lead sheet.<\/p>\n

Storage<\/p>\n

\u25e6X-ray room needs to be ventilated in order to carry the dampness outside.
\n\u25e6The lead glass should not be exposed to water, direct sunlight, extreme heat or humidity.<\/p>\n

\u25e6The lead glass must be placed vertically always and not laid flat.<\/p>\n

Receiving
\n\u25e6Upon receiving our lead glass, one must open the wooden box and examine the glass from all sides. We make sure to ship our lead glass packed safely in a strong wooden box so it is hard to break. However in case shipping service mishandled the box of the lead glass, we should know about it as soon as possible. I such cases customer must take photos of the box and glass from all sides. The shipments are insured for such cases.<\/p>\n

Installation
\n\u25e6We reccommend purchasing lead glass windows in the exact needed size as it is better that we cut the glass and not customers. Lead glass is not exactly same as regular glass. When installing the lead glass window one must make sure there is no space left between the glass and walls around. It is better that the sides of the glass will be covered with the lead sheets that cover the walls. You can cover 3cm of each side in order to make sure no radiation can pass through the wall where the glass is installed.<\/p>\n

Cleaning<\/p>\n

Lead glass has high\u00a0lead oxide content therefore one must be careful when cleaning it. Please do not use materials with oxide or acid and use a very soft cloth in order to prevent scratches on the surface of the glass. Do not clean the lead glass with high pressure cleaning or warm materials.<\/p>\n
